The Great Walk For Very Special Kids

Ride With Us have proudly sponsored Jessica Baker on her quest to complete the Great Ocean Walk and raise money for the Very Special Kids Foundation. As parents and grandparents ourselves, this charity is also one which is close to our heart. We are sponsoring the Great Walk for Very Special Kids in memory of our grandson Tyler.

About Jessica and her expedition

Jessica is a Registered Nurse, Farmer's Wife and mother to two beautiful children and she has set herself a "𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥" challenge. Jessica is packing her bags, donning her hiking boots and hitting the trails. On October 9 she will be hiking the entire distance of 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝔾𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕥 𝕆𝕔𝕖𝕒𝕟 ℝ𝕠𝕒𝕕 unsupported. Over 104kms along the Great Ocean Walk trails, beginning at Apollo Bay and finishing at the stunning Twelve Apostles. All for one reason.... To raise much needed funds for a very deserving charity. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐊𝐢𝐝𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Very Special Kids provides holistic palliative care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and tailored support for their families – through life, death and bereavement. Their integrated approach includes emotional, clinical and practical support to improve quality of life and create positive, lasting memories. As Victoria’s only children’s hospice, their holistic services support more than 850 families across Victoria. This will be Jessica’s very first Trail Walk for Charity and hopefully the very first of many. Ride With Us provide a transport shuttle service for the Great Ocean Walk for solo hikers, couples/pairs and small groups of up to 8 people. Transport operates 7 days a week by advance booking. One off transfers, multi day transport and luggage service available. Pick up and drop off locations include the Great Ocean Walk trail, train stations and airports, campgrounds, accommodation and your car.
